We are proud and excited to welcome you to our intensive eight-week Portuguese summer language program! To help you start on the right foot, we have below some essential information so you can easily navigate your first weeks with us.
First, start by getting familiar with Canvas if you aren’t already. UW-Madison has resources to help students navigate this learning management system and other computing needs. Then, you can check WISLI’s and SIPI’s Canvas page. You will find useful information there about classes, events, and other student support resources.
Another important step is to become familiar with the book you will be working with this summer. It is available online and for free, you can click here to have access to it.
Also, read your Student Handbook, it will introduce you to the program and the university to help you prepare for, and make the most of, your SIPI experience. The handbook can facilitate your transition into SIPI, answering some of the general questions you may have about the program.
